▫️ It was russia that launched a full-scale war against our country, invaded Ukrainian territory, and bombed entire cities and villages into oblivion — and now cynically stages a performance of “reconstruction.” It is especially hypocritical that putin orders the restoration of cultural heritage sites rather than housing or critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, residents in occupied cities have been unable for years to receive the promised compensation for homes destroyed by shelling and, in many cases, continue to live in half-ruined buildings without electricity or water.
Through such directives, kremlin seeks to create an illusion of concern for the population in the temporarily occupied territories. By hiding behind the narrative of “rebuilding,” the occupiers attempt to shift responsibility for the vast destruction they caused.
