Continuation of the campaign about alleged “atrocities by the AFU in Huliaipole”
russian propaganda resources are spreading yet another story about alleged “atrocities by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Huliaipole,” Zaporizhzhia region. This time, they claim that there are supposedly “bodies of executed civilians in the basements” of the city.
▫️ The reports state that russian military personnel allegedly “found numerous executed civilians in basements.” As the source of this information, propagandists cite a “refugee named Andrii.” However, the man himself says that he heard this from russian soldiers, meaning he was not a direct witness to the events described.
▫️ Despite such serious allegations, the russian side has provided no evidence—no footage from the scene, no data on the number of victims, and no results of any alleged “investigations.”
▫️ The use of “refugees” or anonymous witnesses as the sole source is a typical tactic of kremlin information operations. Such stories are impossible to verify, yet they are designed to provoke an emotional response from the audience.
Such disinformation injections are part of a systematic campaign aimed at discrediting the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Through these fabrications, enemy propaganda seeks to create a negative image of Ukrainian servicemen in order to divert attention from the crimes committed by the russian army.
