AI fakes targeting Ukraine’s cooperation with partners on countering “Shahed” drones
A new wave of AI-generated videos has been detected on TikTok, allegedly featuring Ukrainian military personnel criticizing Ukraine’s cooperation with international partners in countering Iranian drones.
▫️Using newly created accounts, the adversary spreads a fake narrative about “300 troops” supposedly being sent to the Persian Gulf “to protect the interests of lawmakers.” In addition, the videos call for a complete halt to mobilization if it is possible to deploy troops abroad.

Using artificial intelligence, the adversary produces manipulative posts aimed at alarming the public with claims of “weakened defense capabilities” and provoking protest sentiments. In reality, these videos intentionally distort facts, generating emotional content designed to manipulate the target audience at the opportune moment.
As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated, the exchange of expertise with partners is intended to prevent the escalation of the war and strengthen the capabilities of Ukraine’s air defense. Iran’s attempts to block the Strait of Hormuz are a significant destabilizing factor that substantially raises energy prices, which benefits russia. Therefore, such assistance is in Ukraine’s national interest. Moreover, the number of specialists deployed to the Middle East has not been publicly disclosed.
