North Korea’s propaganda: the activities of dictator Kim Jong Un’s sister
One of the key propaganda executors in North Korea is Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of DPRK leader Kim Jong Un.
She is the deputy director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the main body that coordinates all DPRK propaganda activities. This department shapes and controls all narratives disseminated through the media and state-controlled organizations.
The sister of the North Korean dictator plays an important role in disseminating North Korea’s official narratives, especially regarding foreign policy. She has used harsh anti-Western rhetoric and has also made a number of harsh statements about the war in Ukraine:
◽️ “The US is crossing the line and endangering Europe by supplying tanks to Ukraine.”
◽️ “Ukraine is suffering from delusions of greatness if it thinks it can defeat russia.”
❗️ She has repeatedly denied that the DPRK is supplying weapons to russia and has also accused Ukraine of plans to deploy nuclear weapons without evidence, thus playing along with russian propaganda to discredit our country in the eyes of the international community.
