“smo” in the school schedule: russia is preparing a new generation of invaders

These meetings are to be held as part of the propaganda lessons called “conversations about important matters,” which the kremlin uses as one of the tools for promoting “smo” among schoolchildren.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, kremlin has been investing heavily in the militarization of youth, using so-called “smo veterans” for this purpose. These “heroes” are often criminals and war criminals.
Despite claims of striving for peace, russia is actually intensifying the propaganda of war and hatred towards Ukraine and Ukrainians, especially among children, whom kremlin sees as a resource for future wars.
