The third National Information Resilience Cluster in Krakow

The Center for Countering Disinformation took part in the third meeting of the National Information Resilience Cluster in Krakow (Poland) on November 21, 2023. 

The National Cluster is organized by the U.S. Office of the Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) in partnership with the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the support of the Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction of the U.S. Department of State. 

The Center’s presentation on “Understanding and Control: How the West can face the threats of russian information warfare” describes the measures that need to be taken to strengthen the information security of countries, increase information literacy, ensure free access to information, etc. 

It also emphasizes the importance of supporting independent media; creating effective counter-propaganda strategies and counternarratives to respond to disinformation and manipulation; joint actions by the public and authorities to counter information threats; international cooperation in the field of information security, including the creation of information hubs to predict and improve crisis response.
