On October 13, 2023, a conference was held on “Expert strategies against fake news: information and disinformation in the context of the russian invasion of Ukraine”. The event, held at the University of Warsaw (Poland), was organized at the initiative of the Weimar Triangle countries.
Head of the department for countering information threats to national security of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Anayit Khoperiya, who joined the conference online, noted that russia’s information expansion and its attempts to influence the mass consciousness of different societies actively are extremely dangerous.
А.Khoperiya emphasized the importance of joining efforts at the international level to jointly counter disinformation, manipulation and fakes. According to her, counteracting the manipulation of public opinion and citizens’ analysis of information is the key to creating a secure information space.
In conclusion, A. Khoperiya called on foreign friends to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine in information warfare against the enemy and share their experience in countering hostile influence.
