On August 21-25, at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense, the Center for Countering Disinformation made a working visit to the Czech Republic.
During the visit, numerous meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NGOs of the Czech Republic.
The Czech colleagues were briefed on the work of the Center, the vision of the russian information influence system and practical experience in countering information threats. In addition, the existing and further ways of cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic in the information sphere were discussed.
During the discussion, Andrii Shapovalov, acting head of the Center, paid special attention to the issue of amending the legislation to bring russian propagandists and their accomplices to criminal responsibility. In addition, he emphasized the importance of introducing the latest technologies to ensure maximum efficiency in countering information threats, which is a particular focus of the Center.
As a result, Czech colleagues gained a unique experience that Ukraine has been able to gain over 9 years of successful information confrontation with the propaganda machine of the russian federation.
