The Center for Countering Disinformation, a working body of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine conducted a series of trainings for representatives of the Regional Military Administration and the Regional State Administration of Ukraine from April 18 to 21.
In particular, they talked about information influence campaigns, how to identify them and logically combine them. They also presented a step-by-step counteraction and response plan, shared techniques and tools of information influence, and explained them using real examples from the history of countering propaganda.
In addition, the Center’s communication platforms were presented and recommendations were provided to combat harmful informational influence and communications with the target audience.
A general plan with a system of detection, assessment and response to information threats was also proposed. We held a joint discussion with colleagues of all the pros and cons of the proposed plan and analyzed in practice the correct algorithm for countering informational threats of local authorities.
