From December 16 to 18, 2025, Karolina Tymkiv, Deputy Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (hereinafter – the Center); Daryna Harib, Information Manager of the Department for Countering Information Threats to National Security; and Bohdan Morozov-Storozhenko, Senior Analyst of the same department, conducted a study visit to The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands. The visit was organized with the support of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine.

During the visit, the Center’s representatives held a series of meetings with Dutch partners, including officials from the European Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, and other state institutions involved in countering Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI). During these sessions, the Ukrainian delegation presented Ukraine’s practical experience in countering disinformation in the context of full-scale war.

Specifically, during discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, the parties addressed current and future cooperation, information exchange mechanisms, and strategic alignment.

Special attention was given to closed-door discussions with leading Dutch fact-checkers and members of the academic community. These sessions focused on modern methods of debunking fakes, identifying information operations, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the fight against FIMI. The participants also shared best practices for responding to contemporary information challenges.

The study visit to the Netherlands will contribute to strengthening international coordination and increasing the effectiveness of countering destructive information campaigns both in Ukraine and within the European information space.
