❗️ On December 7, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the russian federation, s.lavrov, during a speech at the meeting of the international forum «Prymakov readings» in moscow, made several resonant statements regarding the situation in Ukraine and relations with the West.
❓ What did the head of the russian Foreign Ministry say:
🔸 The russian federation is ready to discuss «serious proposals» regarding the end of the war in Ukraine, if its demands are met and russian interests are taken into account. At the same time, there was no clarification regarding the content of the «demands» from the head of the russian Foreign Ministry. It is interesting that a week ago the same lavrov claimed that all statements about russia’s readiness to resume the negotiation process with Kyiv don’t correspond to reality.
☝️ Lavrov convinced that russia still has the opportunity to issue any ultimatums regarding Ukraine and practically repeats the words of putin’s press secretary d.peskov «the special military operation in Ukraine can be completed after achieving its goals». As you know, the goal of the «special military operation» is determined by russia as so-called demilitarization and denazification. The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly emphasized that there is no point in any negotiations with the current authorities of the russian federation with such approaches. As long as missile attacks on civilian infrastructure continue and Ukrainian territories remain occupied, Kyiv rejects any calls from its allies regarding the possibility of returning to dialogue with the russian federation. That is, the war can only end with the withdrawal of russian troops from the territory of Ukraine and complete de-occupation, including Crimea and Donbas.
🔸 The russian federation will be ready for a serious dialogue with the West, when visionary people will join the leadership there.
☝️ The kremlin continues its secret strategy of bringing pro-russian leaders to power in EU and US countries.
American intelligence in its report proved that during the 2020 presidential election in the USA, russia carried out influence operations aimed at discrediting the candidacy of President J. Biden and the Democratic Party in favor of former President D. Trump, undermining public confidence in the election process and exacerbating the socio-political divide in the USA. In November 2022, russia no longer hid its interference in the American elections to the US Congress, because their results will definitely have an impact on the policy of the United States, in particular regarding support for Ukraine.
🔸 The russian federation would like the European Union to be one of the poles of the new multipolar world. This will happen if he defends independence from the United States of America.
☝️ The kremlin is trying to discredit economic, political and defense relations between the USA and European countries as much as possible in order to change the focus of attention from the «Ukrainian issue» and to separate Ukraine from its European supporters. Through the existing European and American putin lobbyists, russian propaganda is actively pushing the narrative «the USA wants to destroy the EU because of the war in Ukraine»in the minds of the Western audience, implying that the USA will benefit from the war in Ukraine. Currently, the main weapon of the pro-kremlin disinformation system for «shaking» the EU is the pro-russian government of Orban in Hungary.
However, despite moscow’s efforts to confuse the target audience by deflecting accusations and distorting the facts, the international coalition supporting Ukraine remains steadfast.
🔸 Lavrov announced the revival of russophobia in Germany. Russophobic tendencies, according to the head of the russian Foreign Ministry, are observed throughout the European Union, but specific ones are reviving in Germany.
☝️ Putin’s press secretary d.peskov publicly admitted that the hatred of former russians and citizens of russia in several Western countries is connected with the «special operation» in Ukraine. The war in Ukraine was not without consequences for russian-speakers in Germany. However, the narrative about russophobia in Germany is largely artificially supported by russian propaganda with the help of manipulations with the purposeful distribution of photos, videos, messages on this topic of dubious origin in social networks. After all, the protection of russian-speakers abroad is the main element of promoting the ideology of «russian world». Germany, as the most developed EU member state, where about 2.7 million russian-speaking emigrants from the republics of the former USSR live (and together with their descendants in the first generation – about 3.5 million), is of particular interest to the kremlin. Against the background of artificial promotion of the topic of persecution of russian-speaking Germans, the kremlin is counting on their support in the issue of pressure on the German authorities to soften the anti-russian course both in Germany and in other EU member states.
❗️ Thus, at the forum in moscow, lavrov repeated the narratives previously published by the russian authorities, which once again emphasized the kremlin’s imperial plans for Ukraine and the world in general. There is no doubt that russia is now diplomatically, militarily and economically preparing for a long-term conflict, and aims to take control of the entire Ukrainian territory.
