The Ukrainian Institute of Media and Communication held an expert discussion on the effectiveness of countering disinformation

On August 2, 2023, the Ukrainian Institute of Media and Communication gathered media experts, representatives of government institutions and international donor organizations for an expert discussion on “Effectiveness of countering russian disinformation in Ukraine in conditions of full-scale war”, where the speaker was acting head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrii Shapovalov.

The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted a public opinion poll on the topic “Whose efforts contributed most to countering russian disinformation after the full-scale invasion of February 24, 2022.”

During the determination of the leaders, a rating table was presented, where the CCD ranks first among state bodies in countering disinformation and fifth overall, behind the President, the military, the telethon and volunteers.

The Center successfully fulfills its mission of countering disinformation, has many public and non-public areas of struggle in the information space, and in 2022 received 495 million views only on the official Telegram channel of the CCD.
