Conference «Ukrainian media in the conditions of war. Legal norms and experience» took place in Poland

On June 19, Poland hosted a conference “Ukrainian media in the conditions of war. Legal norms and experience”, which was attended by Andriy Shapovalov, acting head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, a working body of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Among the speakers were Olga Gerasymiuk, Head of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, Vasyl Zvarych, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland, and experts from the military, information and media sectors of Ukraine and Poland. 

During the conference, the participants discussed the peculiarities of hybrid warfare and the specifics of russian information terrorism during the period of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Representatives from Ukraine shared their own experience in setting up work to maximize the efficiency of the Ukrainian media in times of war. The meeting was aimed at discussing Ukraine’s practical experience in countering russian propaganda, which is being experienced by many countries around the world today. 

Such events are an important element necessary to improve the system of communication between the state and its citizens, which is an integral part of successful resistance to the enemy’s information terror.
