The Center records new cases of russian propaganda spreading in Serbia and Bulgaria.
▫️ Anti-Ukrainian kremlin disinformation is being spread through russian-controlled media outlets in the information spaces of these countries.
▫️ In Serbia, disinformation is being spread claiming that Ukraine is preparing a major military provocation near the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and is attempting to draw Poland into the conflict.
▫️ In Bulgaria, disinformation is also being spread about the situation in the russian-occupied city of Oleshky, accusing Ukraine of allegedly “keeping 6,000 people without food and water.”
None of these claims have anything to do with reality. By spreading such propagandistic disinformation in Eastern European countries, the kremlin seeks to justify its war against Ukraine and undermine support for our country.
