The kremlin has turned kindergartens into propaganda hubs
In russia and the temporarily occupied territories, children are being exposed to kremlin propaganda from the youngest possible age.
From 1 September 2026, kindergartens across russia and in the TOT have introduced so-called «good games» — an analogue of «talks about important things» used in schools. According to teaching materials for kindergarten educators, children as young as five are expected to have a conversation about occupied Crimea.
Kindergarten children will be told about Crimea as a «historic part of russia that has returned home». The youngest groups will be taught about Crimea as a beautiful place to visit for holidays. For children aged 5–6, educators are already promoting the Crimean Bridge as a «symbol of strength and unity», while 6–7-year-olds will be told about the occupation of the peninsula as the «restoration of historical justice».
This is a clear example of how russia’s system of total ideological indoctrination works. Children are subjected to propaganda as soon as they first enter the education system — starting in kindergarten. This is classic totalitarianism, in which the state seeks to completely control people’s minds from the earliest years of their lives.
