russian propaganda continues its campaign of disinformation about the alleged existence of Ukrainian “barrier units,” using Ukrainian prisoners of war for propaganda purposes.
▫️ russian outlets actively circulate claims that Ukrainian soldiers “receive money for killing other Ukrainian troops who try to flee their positions.”
To make this disinformation seem credible, they cite the words of a Ukrainian POW. However, as always, there is no real evidence.
Such fabrications are part of a broader campaign to demonize the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in which russian propaganda systematically invents false stories to justify heavy losses and war crimes committed by the russian army.
