russia has launched another disinformation campaign aimed at accusing Ukraine of crimes actually committed by russia itself in Pokrovsk.
▫️The russian propaganda entity known as the “international public tribunal” has released yet another so-called “report” alleging “genocide” and “crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
▫️Behind the loud accusations lies a familiar propaganda toolkit: a fictitious “tribunal” with no international or legal status, statements by russian officials representing the criminal putin regime, and a complete absence of independent evidence.
▫️Representatives of this “tribunal” cynically claim that a “scorched earth” tactic in Pokrovsk was allegedly sanctioned by Ukraine’s leadership. In reality, this description precisely fits russia’s own actions. Over more than a year of intense fighting for Pokrovsk, the army of the aggressor state has almost completely destroyed the city, killing its residents in the process.
The launch of this campaign has an obvious purpose: the kremlin is attempting to shift responsibility for its own war crimes in Pokrovsk onto Ukraine.
