Volodymyr Zelenskyy presents Resilience Plan in Verkhovna Rada
Key points from the President’s speech:
The next year will be crucial. We must work every day, all the people, to ensure the sustainability of the entire country.
The Resilience Plan consists of 10 points: Unity, Front, Weapons, Money, Energy, Security, Communities, Human resources, Cultural sovereignty, and the Heroes’ policy.
“Unity” is indispensable for achieving the necessary results of Ukraine’s Victory Plan. We are not compromising Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, or future. We will not relinquish our rights to our territory.
“Front” involves a change in the approach to managing personnel in the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine. This includes increased direct funding for brigades, the appointment of a military ombudsman, and a new system of service contracts in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for citizens below the mobilization age. There will be no lowering of the mobilization age.
“Weapons” focuses on staying ahead of russia in technology and implementing a format of a technological objective. Increasing the domestic production of guns, artillery shells, drones, cruise missiles, and drone missiles.
“Money” introduces a new economic policy aimed at maximizing support for Ukrainian entrepreneurship, ensuring business security, reducing pressure on businesses, and fostering honesty in state-business relations.
“Energy” refers to adapting to the constant threat of russian terror through all forms of protection.
“Security” refers to a new system of internal security at the national level: a safe region, a safe city, a safe community.
“Communities” emphasizes considering the interests of each community through the Congress of local and regional authorities.
“Human resources” highlights state respect for every individual among our millions of people.
“Cultural sovereignty” focuses on updating Ukrainian cultural policy, systematically supporting Ukrainian content, cultural diplomacy abroad, and similar initiatives.
“Heroes’ policy” involves engaging veterans in public service, providing support programs for veterans and soldiers’ families, and fully integrating veterans into social and economic life.
