russian statement on “adoption of the US concept regarding Ukraine” is manipulation
The head of the russian foreign ministry, sergey lavrov, stated that vladimir putin is allegedly “ready to accept the US concept regarding Ukraine” and “to move forward in practical terms.” This refers to the so-called concept, which actually implies the complete occupation of Donetsk region.
▫️ lavrov’s statement is another manipulation. moscow repeats the old scheme: pretending peaceful intentions without any practical actions. russia has repeatedly declared its “desire for peace,” while refusing to cease fire.
▫️ Also, through such statements, the kremlin tries to present itself as a “peacemaker” to avoid new sanctions and buy time.
According to lavrov, there is no desire for peace — in this way, the kremlin tries to mislead the international community and impose its conditions on Ukraine and its partners. Without a ceasefire, all moscow’s talks about “concepts” or “peace initiatives” remain fake. And russia has repeatedly proven this with its actions.
