How crimes are justified in Russia by “moral values”
russian government has begun discussing the possibility of exempting criminals from criminal liability if they broke the law while “defending moral values.” This could even apply to acts of murder.

russian minister’s proposal is yet another propagandistic manipulation surrounding so-called “spirituality” and “moral-ethical values” — narratives used by russian propaganda to justify war crimes committed by its armed forces in Ukraine and the participation of convicted criminals, including rapists and murderers, in the so-called “special military operation.”
The main goal of such legal innovations is to create a framework that justifies real crimes committed by russians against Ukraine’s civilian population under the pretext of defending mythical “moral values.”
