Documentary film centers “Forpost” have opened in the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions
In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, russians have opened “forpost” documentary film centers. According to the russian ministry of culture, “these are new modern studios for filmmakers, where all the conditions for producing documentary films dedicated to the events of the ‘special military operation’ have been created.”
▫️russian occupiers continue to actively use the cultural dimension, particularly cinema, which is entirely controlled by the state, as part of their hybrid war and a tool for imposing the “russian world” in the occupied territories of Ukraine. These films, with distorted realities, are extremely dangerous informational weapons because they deny the existence of the Ukrainian nation, the sovereignty, and independence of our state, dehumanize Ukrainians, while actively promoting kremlin narratives, justifying the crimes of the putin regime, and glorifying real war criminals.
The goal of this policy, for which billions of rubles are being spent, is zombification and militarization of the population in the occupied territories, especially the youth, whom the occupiers are teaching to hate Ukraine and preparing to go to their deaths in wars initiated by russia.
The Center previously reported that the russian ministry of culture has approved state funding for 2025 to create films dedicated to the themes of war, “traditional russian values,” and “russia’s foreign policy successes.”
