Fake about the death of a 20-year-old serviceman
ru-propaganda continues its attempts to discredit the “18–24 Contract” program.
Enemy Telegram channels are spreading a fake obituary of an allegedly 20-year-old serviceman named Volodymyr, with the callsign “Luntik,” who they claim was killed on March 24. According to them, the news was shared by his mother.
“Luntik” is one of the featured characters in a story previously published by a Ukrainian media outlet.
In reality, Volodymyr “Luntik” is alive. The propagandists used a photo of another fallen serviceman and edited in “Luntik’s” face. In addition, the servicemen enlisted under the “18–24” contract program are still undergoing training and do not participate in combat operations.
The Center had previously reported similar disinformation attempts aimed at discrediting this program.
