The enemy intensifies the campaign to discredit soldiers of the UAF
Amid ceasefire negotiations, the Center has recorded a significant intensification of russia’s disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s Defense Forces, particularly by spreading fakes about alleged “atrocities committed by the UAF in the kursk region.”
ru-propaganda is actively flooding online platforms with articles and video content supposedly “exposing UAF crimes.” These materials baselessly accuse Ukrainian soldiers of killing civilians, including children.
Another group of fakes consists of videos featuring “testimonies” from Ukrainian prisoners of war, claiming forced mobilization of HIV-positive individuals in Ukraine, distribution of psychotropic drugs to soldiers before combat, and “confessions” of war crimes. Propagandists offer no evidence beyond confessions obtained under duress from captured UAF soldiers whose lives are entirely controlled by russian security services.
The goal of these videos is to discredit Ukrainian soldiers in the eyes of the international community, justify russia’s violations of ceasefire agreements, and distract from the numerous well-documented war crimes committed by russian forces.
