Information about the killing of civilians in Russkoe Porechnoe is another fake of ru-propaganda

The Center has recorded the start of a new phase in Russia’s large-scale disinformation campaign “atrocities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.”

▫️ Russian media outlets are widely spreading reports alleging that Ukrainian forces murdered and raped dozens of civilians in the village of Russkoe Porechnoe, Kursk region.

▫️ As “evidence,” Russian propaganda is circulating a video featuring the supposed “confession” of a captured Ukrainian soldier, along with footage showing several dead bodies.

The video provides no real evidence. It is impossible to determine the number of bodies, the location of the incident, the identities of the victims, or the causes and circumstances of their deaths. The so-called “testimony” of the Ukrainian prisoner cannot be considered credible, given the numerous documented cases of torture and extrajudicial executions of Ukrainians in Russian captivity.

The Kremlin is pouring significant resources into fabricating a “Russian Bucha” in the information space, relentlessly spreading false claims about the alleged “horrific crimes of the Banderites on Russian territory” for months. Meanwhile, the Russians provide no actual evidence. This flood of disinformation is meant to conceal Russia’s own crimes against humanity and justify its continued war of aggression.
