Fake about Iran using weapons allegedly purchased from Ukraine
The Center has recorded the continuation of a disinformation campaign claiming that Ukraine is allegedly “selling Western-supplied weapons on the black market.”
▫️russian propaganda is circulating a fabricated video falsely attributed to Al Jazeera. The video claims that Iran is striking U.S. and French military bases using American and French weapons that Ukraine supposedly “sold on the black market” after 2022.
In reality, no such video has been published on the broadcaster’s official platforms. Propagandists imitated the media outlet’s style by using footage from real reports and overlaying it with fabricated text. Moreover, the statement attributed to former German General Klaus Wittmann, cited by propagandists, was never made.
The Center has previously reported that since 2022, no credible evidence has emerged to support claims that Ukraine has sold Western weapons.
