The Center met with a delegation of the French Ministry of Defense
On December 17, 2024, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, together with Anayit Khoperiya, Deputy Head of the Center, met with a delegation from the French Ministry of Defense, led by General Jean-Michel Meunier, Head of Strategic Planning at the General Staff of the French Ministry of Defense. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine.
During the meeting, A. Khoperiya presented the Center’s work, highlighting its key areas of activity and priorities in countering disinformation. She stressed the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of experience in combating information threats.
A. Kovalenko urged international partners to take more proactive measures in the information domain against the aggressor state. He emphasized the need to transition from a defensive strategy to offensive actions to more effectively counter disinformation campaigns and hybrid threats.
The parties discussed ways to foster further effective bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was given to opportunities for exchanging experience and enhancing the information resilience of both countries in addressing common challenges and threats.
