Russian information forces are trying to obtain valuable information from people not only on WhatsApp, but also on other platforms, including Telegram, Viber, Facebook, and others. The enemy writes in private messages, in comments asking for help getting to the city or asking about the operational situation in different regions of Ukraine in group chats.
We want to remind you once again!
Do not communicate in any messengers with accounts you do not know, do not share current information in groups and chats.
Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC of Ukraine is working together with everyone to protect Ukrainians and carefully checks information before publishing it.
Forums and groups in WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, and Facebook in Kyiv region are flooded with similar messages.
The authors of the posts actively ask the following questions in different variations:
1. How to get to Kyiv?
2. Who can give me a ride with a small child to Kyiv?
3. How to get from Brovary to Boryspil?
All the authors have the same feature: they are all new members of the Kyiv region groups, having joined the groups only on February 25.
Dear residents of the Kyiv region, please be careful and cautious! People asking for information are ENEMY AGENTS collecting information. Do not share the information about the routes, how and where to get there, and where there are still free and accessible roads.
If you see a question like the ones above, click on the author’s profile and if they are a new member of the forum (joined the community only yesterday or today), then:
1. file a complaint to the group administrator;
2. write in capital letters in the comments that the author of the survey is an enemy who collects information.
