Why the Kremlin Doesn’t Want to Search for Soldiers Missing in War

Putin has publicly instructed the Defense Ministry to submit proposals by April 1 to improve the search for missing soldiers of the “special military operation” (smo). But in reality, this is nothing more than an attempt to calm down frustrated Russians.

A month ago, the Russian authorities already announced the creation of an algorithm for searching for missing persons. However, no one has ever seen the algorithm, and Russians continue to accuse the Defense Ministry of inaction.

Russia has debts to the living participants of the “smo”. Therefore, it is financially unprofitable for the regime to search for missing persons.
