Seven-year-old children in russia will be taught how to fly drones

kremlin is intensifying its efforts to militarize children. In 2026, russia will introduce drone piloting competitions among schoolchildren. This directive was personally issued by dictator vladimir putin. Under his instructions, the minimum age for participants in these competitions has been reduced to 7 years old.

▫️The competitions will be held with the support of the “movement of the firsts” — putin’s version of the pioneers, a paramilitary children’s organization that actively fosters hatred toward Ukraine and Western countries among schoolchildren.

kremlin is paying significant attention to the ideological conditioning of children and involving them in activities related to the war. Special emphasis is being placed on preparing a new generation of drone pilot soldiers. Last year alone, russian schools spent nearly 540 million rubles (almost $7 million) on drone piloting courses. This year, russia also approved a textbook for a mandatory drone course for high school students.

Thus, russia is demonstrating its far-reaching intentions to continue its aggressive foreign policy, preparing children for war from their first years of school.
