russia recruits teenagers to produce Shahed drones
russia has launched a propaganda campaign aimed at involving teenagers in the production of Shahed drones.
▫️ The Alabuga Polytechnic College in Tatarstan, which trains specialists for the production of strike UAVs, has released a series of promotional videos. In these videos, teenagers proudly state that they assemble combat drones, describing it as “an important task for the country,” and boast about high salaries.
▫️ In the advertisements, weapons production is presented as an easy way to earn money and the beginning of a prestigious career. There are also reports that the management of “Alabuga” is willing to pay generous fees to bloggers for promoting these videos.
▫️ Through such campaigns, the russian state seeks to portray work for the military-industrial complex as a profitable commercial project for young people. However, the moral dimension is ignored. In reality, this concerns the production of weapons of terror that bring death and destruction to peaceful Ukrainian cities.
This practice demonstrates the level of cynicism of the russian authorities. The kremlin is deliberately involving teenagers in the production of instruments of war. By using minors in such advertising, the state effectively turns them into “merchants of death.”
The Center previously reported that “Alabuga” has also been conducting mass recruitment campaigns among young women from African countries.
