How Kremlin condemns Russians with rare diseases to death

The annual budget of the russian government program for purchasing medications for people with rare (orphan) diseases has been almost entirely depleted. By the end of May, over 98% of the funds allocated for these needs for the entire year of 2025 had been spent.

▫️Almost a third of all regions in russia are experiencing a shortage of necessary medications. The most critical shortage is in drugs for treating hemophilia, cancer, and multiple sclerosis. In 2024, nearly half of russian patients with rare diseases had to interrupt their treatment due to the lack of medications, which cost some of them their lives.

The main reason for the drug shortage is the enormous expenditure of budget funds on the war against Ukraine, sanctions, and the refusal to use foreign-made medications.

kremlin is deliberately sacrificing the lives and health of its own citizens in order to continue the war, spending more and more money and resources on it.
