How children on TOT become a tool of war for Russia
russia systematically militarizes children in temporarily occupied territories to involve them in the war against Ukraine and to instill complete loyalty to the kremlin.
In particular, in Kherson region, the enemy has launched a campaign to prepare high school students for service in the russian army through the organization “warrior sports and military-patriotic education center”, which is included in the War and Sanctions list for its involvement in the kidnapping and reeducation of children from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT).
The training for teenagers is mainly conducted by russian military personnel and participants of the so-called “Self-Defense Forces of Donbass”. The classes take place both in russia and in the TOT in schools and summer camps through military-patriotic games, drone piloting, and reenactments of “historic” battles.
At the same time, children are deliberately discouraged from continuing their education in universities, instilling the idea of signing an army contract immediately after school.
The occupiers forcibly turn children into a military resource, imposing war as a norm, destroying their Ukrainian identity, and fostering hatred towards Ukraine.
