Children’s camps as a tool of Kremlin propaganda
The Russian Ministry of Education has decided to transform children’s camps into centers for “patriotic education” and the promotion of “traditional values.” The goal is to form a “proper” citizen who understands their “unity with the state” and will go “to fulfill the duty to the homeland” when called upon.
The Russian authorities are using children’s camps as a tool for propaganda and ideological indoctrination. This program is part of a broader effort to militarize Russian society, ensuring that from an early age, children perceive the authoritarian regime as the only legitimate system and do not question its actions or decisions.
The ultimate goal is to raise a generation that views war as a normal and natural state of society.
Earlier, the Center, together with Bring Kids Back UA—a Ukrainian initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy—prepared an analytical report titled “Militarization of Ukrainian Children in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.”
