How the kremlin entices russians into war by offering fictitious “career prospects”
The program “Time of Heroes”, initiated by russian dictator vladimir putin, continues to be promoted in russia.
◽️ According to propagandists, this program is meant to show russian society how the country supposedly cares for the so-called “smo” veterans. Putin further claims that participants in the war against Ukraine are now “the new elite of russia”. In reality, however, it appears to be a propaganda show reminiscent of the soviet era.
◽️ Following stories about “smo veterans” participating in local elections, russian outlets have reported that participants of the “Time of Heroes” program have been hired by the russian presidential administration. However, only two individuals are known to have been “trained” there, while there are tens of thousands of war veterans in russia, with their numbers continuing to grow.
◽️ As reported by the Center, the “Time of Heroes” program is merely a televised illusion of opportunities for veterans, with the real goal being to entice more russians to join the war against Ukraine.
