The CCD continues its series of publications on the main perpetrators of anti-Ukrainian propaganda in belarus. Another influential propagandist in the country is ivan eismont, a TV presenter and husband of lukashenko’s press secretary, natalia eismont.
Since 2018, the propagandist has been the head of the country’s largest media holding, “Belteleradiocompany”, which includes seven TV channels, several websites, and radio stations. For his propaganda work, he was included in the sanctions lists of the EU and Ukraine.
◽️ His own TV program has high ratings and is an important platform for spreading propaganda in the interests of the lukashenko regime and russia.
◽️ He often talks about how Ukraine and NATO threaten belarus and are trying to “drag it into a war” to justify the militarization of the country and military cooperation with russia. At the same time, eismont assures that Ukrainians are “brotherly nation” and that belarusians allegedly do not want war.
He was also caught by fact-checkers spreading fakes about “Ukrainian Nazism” to discredit our country.
