Russian special services are trying to blackmail relatives of prisoners — new IPSO
Hostile intelligence services have launched another information and psychological operation to discredit Ukraine by targeting the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
▫️There are widespread reports of messages and phone calls being sent to their contacts. russian agents are using blackmail, demanding that in exchange for including their relatives on exchange lists, families must send mass letters accusing Ukrainian authorities of allegedly refusing to carry out prisoner exchanges.
▫️People are also being coerced into sending these letters to international organizations and government institutions in Ukraine and the United States — including the UN and the White House Administration.
The enemy is attempting to use these fabricated letters as “evidence” to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community and destabilize the situation inside the country.
We urge everyone to remain vigilant and not fall for enemy provocations. Do not respond to suspicious messages, do not share personal information, and do not click on questionable links. If you receive a provocative message or call, report it to law enforcement authorities.
▪️The Ukrainian government is doing everything possible to ensure the swift release of all Ukrainian prisoners of war.
