russia launches disinformation campaign about evacuation from frontline areas
russian propaganda has intensified a disinformation campaign aimed at disrupting the evacuation of Ukraine’s civilian population, particularly children, from frontline areas.
▫️ This time, rodion miroshnik, a representative of russia’s foreign ministry, made unfounded accusations. He claimed that Ukraine’s National Police special unit “White Angel” allegedly “forcibly takes children away,” changes their documents and “involves them in criminal schemes” in Europe.
▫️ Such absurd claims are part of the enemy’s systematic information operation. The occupiers seek to frighten parents in combat zones so that they refuse evacuation and remain under shelling.
▫️ At the same time, through such disinformation, the kremlin seeks to divert attention from its own war crimes — the mass deportation and forced russification of Ukrainian children in the temporarily occupied territories.
Such statements by russian diplomats are a deliberate attempt to discredit the evacuation measures carried out by Ukraine in frontline areas. russia seeks to keep civilians in danger in order to use them as “human shields.”
