The Center has documented the expansion of russia’s anti-migrant disinformation campaign on TikTok: networks of AI-generated accounts have joined the campaign, through which russia is systematically spreading destructive narratives to a Ukrainian audience.
The use of these resources confirms that this is a centralized disinformation attack by russia.
In particular, a network of accounts previously identified by the Center has been observed spreading narratives about “population replacement,” sharing AI-generated videos featuring “Orthodox priests”. In addition, the topic of migrants has begun to appear in a network of accounts known for the “fat officials” campaign, and is also being promoted through russian AI accounts working to stoke anti-Semitic sentiments in Ukrainian society.
The enemy’s goal is to divide Ukrainian society and provoke internal conflicts on interethnic and religious grounds.
