President met with leaders of Germany and the Vatican

Ukraine continues to strengthen its support from Western partners. On October 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held meetings in Berlin with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

▫️ The primary focus of the discussions was Ukraine’s security amid relentless russian attacks on its energy infrastructure and ongoing battles at the front. Zelenskyy presented his Plan for Victory to Scholz, outlining the necessary steps forward. During the visit, Germany announced a new defense aid package worth €600 million.

▫️ In the Vatican, President Zelenskyy met with Pope Francis, where they discussed the critical issue of returning captured and deported Ukrainians from russia.

All russian attempts to undermine the support of Ukraine by its Western partners have failed. Despite russia’s attempts to undermine Ukraine’s support, Western allies continue to back Ukraine with military aid and stand by its pursuit of a just and lasting peace.
