russia’s Defense Ministry Spreads New Lie About a Ukrainian “Dirty Nuclear Bomb”
russian media are amplifying claims by russia’s ministry of defense with fabricated accusations that Ukraine is preparing to use weapons of mass destruction.
▫️In particular, russia alleges that the Ukrainian Security Service “simulated the explosion of a dirty nuclear bomb in a crowded area” and may use it “under a false flag.” They also circulate accusations of using chemical weapons, attempting to provoke a technological disaster, testing pharmaceutical drugs on their own population, and more.
The russian military leadership regularly invents such baseless, evidence-free accusations for information operations against Ukraine.
By spreading these fabrications, the enemy aims to discredit Ukraine internationally, justify terror in the temporarily occupied territories, and divert attention from russia’s own war crimes. It is the russian army that uses prohibited chemical agents against Ukraine — a fact that has already resulted in international sanctions.
