russian propaganda is spreading another wave of disinformation, falsely claiming that Ukraine’s Defense Forces used chemical weapons in russia’s kursk region.
Such accusations are typical for kremlin propaganda and have appeared repeatedly since the start of the full-scale invasion. These claims are never supported by any evidence.
russia’s goal is to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community and create an informational alibi for the use of banned toxic substances by russian troops. Such incidents have already been documented on the front line. According to the Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, an officer of the Defense Forces Andrii Kovalenko, several such cases have been recently recorded in the Kupiansk direction .
