russia once again falsely claims that Ukraine is using chemical weapons

russia has intensified its propaganda rhetoric alleging that Ukraine is using chemical weapons.

▫️ This time, the accusations were voiced by russian foreign ministry representative kirill logvinov, who claimed that Kyiv is allegedly violating the Chemical Weapons Convention.

▫️ As is customary, the russian side asserts that it has documented such incidents and submitted “evidence” to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), as well as to the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly. However, no publicly verified materials substantiating the alleged use of prohibited substances by Ukraine have been presented.

▫️ Such claims are part of a sustained information strategy: moscow seeks to construct an alternative narrative in order to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community and undermine the confidence of its partners.

Through these false accusations, moscow aims to divert attention from the actions of russian forces. It is the russian army that has used prohibited chemical agents against Ukraine—facts repeatedly documented by international observers and forming the basis for the imposition of international sanctions.
