CCD and DIU continue the “kremlin Mouthpieces” section
The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, continues its systematic efforts to expose public figures engaged in kremlin military propaganda.
▫️ The “kremlin Mouthpieces” section of the War & Sanctions portal has been updated with information on ten additional russian individuals who operate in the interests of russian propaganda, justify aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of Ukrainian territories, glorify russian war criminals, and raise funds for the russian army.
The newly added individuals include:
▫️ sergey aleksandrovich mikheyev — russian political analyst, radio and television host, propagandist, and head of the expert advisory council under the so-called head of the Republic of Crimea;
▫️ vladimir aleksandrovich kucherenko / maksim aleksandrovich kalashnikov — russian journalist, propagandist, and writer;
▫️ andrey kirillovich kosolapov / macan — russian rap artist and songwriter, serviceman of an elite rosgvardiya unit, used by propaganda to glorify military service in the russian federation;
▫️ sergey vladimirovich polunin — russian ballet dancer who actively supports russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine, praises putin, and endorses his policies.
The “kremlin Mouthpieces” section of the War & Sanctions portal currently contains information on 176 individuals.
Work on updating the list of “Kremlin Mouthpieces” is ongoing. We call for stronger sanctions against Russian propagandists and for preventing any form of cooperation with them.
