Number of civilian casualties caused by the russian army attacks since the beginning of the energy ceasefire
During the 22 days of the so-called “energy ceasefire,” the russian army killed nearly 2.5 times more Ukrainians than in the same period prior to its announcement.
From March 25 to April 15, russian forces carried out eight large-scale attacks on Ukrainian cities, resulting in 72 deaths, including 11 children.
Moreover, as noted by Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and officer of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, during the so-called “energy ceasefire,” the intensity of strikes on civilians increased, as did attacks and shelling along the frontline.
Ukraine, for its part, expressed its readiness as early as March 11 to accept the U.S. proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire. Instead, putin and his army continue to kill Ukrainian civilians.
