Kremlin lies about not striking at Ukraine’s energy sector
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov lies that “Russia has never threatened Ukraine’s energy supply system”.
▫️ According to him, this is exactly how he responded during talks in Riyadh to the US proposal to impose a moratorium on attacks on energy facilities.
Russia has long been unashamed of obvious lies even at the highest diplomatic level. Missile and drone strikes on Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure are recorded regularly. Moreover, on the day of the Munich Security Conference, Russia launched a drone strike on the shelter of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, which posed a threat of nuclear disaster not only for Ukraine.
With such lies, Moscow is once again openly demonstrating its disregard for international law and the international community.
