It’s important to remember that the kremlin has frequently utilized medvedev as a mouthpiece to convey messages to the world that russia is unable to articulate through traditional diplomatic channels. However, russia’s threats amount to nothing more than a bluff. Faced with the weight of sanctions, moscow lacks significant leverage on the global stage.
