Russia is spreading such messages to further accuse Ukraine of “staging” civilian deaths.
An example of such information manipulation was published by the russian news agency TASS: “Bodies are now being dragged into the basement of a residential building in Nyzhnya Syrovatka, which “will be presented as allegedly another victim of the russian army”. As envisioned by the “British directors,” russian troops allegedly killed civilians en masse during their retreat.”
Such manipulations are not uncommon. Almost every day, russia reports on places and allegedly “intelligence about film sets and directors” who ” arrange corpses for the best shot”, without specifying where these bodies of dead civilians came from.

After the depressing coverage of russia’s atrocities in the Kyiv region, russia began to report in advance the places (in particular, the village of Nyzhnia Syrovatka in Sumy region) and dates on which russians committed crimes against civilians. And even filed lawsuits with the UN, accusing Ukraine of staging the consequences of the war.
However, their own data debunks the claims of russian officials that troops were withdrawn from the Sumy region more than 3 weeks ago: the map, according to the russian ministry of defense on April 4, shows a temporary occupation of the region.
The presence of russian troops in the Sumy region until April 4 is also confirmed by a map with data from British intelligence.
Apparently, after the demining of the territories and the formation of investigative commissions, Ukraine’s Sumy region will face new horrors of war, just like other regions temporarily occupied by russia.
