On April 2, 2024, Serhiy Chervinsky, a historian and founder of the “Scythian Warrior” project, gave a lecture for the Center for Countering Disinformation specialists. During the presentation, S. Chervinsky spoke about the cult of the sword among the Scythians and Ukraine’s modern military doctrine. He also presented unique finds of Scythian swords discovered on the territory of Ukraine, in particular in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions.
According to the historian, the Scythian era can be considered the beginning of the state-building processes on the territory of modern Ukraine. He noted that the period of Scythian culture is an important stage not only for the formation of military strategy, but also for national ideology.
