Fake newspapers started to be printed for Ukrainian soldiers in russian captivity

Fake newspapers claiming defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and surrender of Ukraine have been printed for Ukrainian soldiers in russian captivity

These “creative self-publishing” editions from the russian federal security service imitate the popular Ukrainian and Western press and are intended for prisoners held in the Rostov-on-Don detention center.

In general, fake publications containing false information about the complete capture of Ukraine are primarily intended to create tools for manipulating the minds of Ukrainian defenders who have been captured by russia.

According to the founder of the online resource “Gulagu.net” V. Osechkin, such a manipulative technology is used by russian security forces, primarily the fsb and the fsin, to “make them (prisoners) sign testimonies, slander themselves and third parties with whom they served.”
