Fake about the mobilisation of women in Ukraine
Propaganda Telegram channels continue to spread manipulative claims about alleged preparations to mobilise women in Ukraine.
Against the backdrop of a publication by The Telegraph about the experience of women serving in the military, propagandists claim that Western media have «launched a campaign» in support of mobilising Ukrainian women.
In reality, there are no decisions to mobilise women in Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence has officially stated that there are no legislative initiatives, draft laws or internal discussions concerning the introduction of such mobilisation. Women join the Defence Forces exclusively on a voluntary basis.
Thus, russian propaganda is once again using publications by Western media to spread manipulative claims. The topic of mobilisation is systematically exploited by the kremlin to spread panic and manipulate Ukrainian society.
